In 1920 my grandparents came from Manchester to honeymoon at Hampton Beach and never left.
I grew up in Hampton and I'm growing old in Hampton. My wife Kristie and I raised our daughters Marie, Elizabeth and Grace in the town. Hampton is our home.
I knew Hampton as a boy playing at Tuck Field, as a teenager working at the Casino and on the back of a town garbage truck, as a young adult coaching HYA and joining with other parents and members of the community to build Kids Kingdom, and as a Field Hockey Dad trying to figure out college tuitions and our property tax bill.
I care fiercely about my family and my community. Our families, our town, and our state face tough challenges: jobs and the economy, property taxes, quality education, a healthy environment, sound infrastructure, a safe community, respect for each individual, and more.
I believe I have the skills, the experience, the values and the commitment to be a thoughtful and productive voice in the state legislature. As a 5-term state representative, and the Moderator of the Winnacunnet School District for the past 20 years, I always strive to be open-minded and respectful of all, even those with whom I might disagree with on a particular issue.
If elected I will do my best to honor the trust of the citizens and be a representative for all the people of Hampton. When I ran for re-election in 2010 I fell short by 86 votes. I know the importance of every single voter and every single vote. I respectfully ask you and your family and friends to please cast your vote for me this November.
